Simple Baseball Infield Drills That Work!

Baseball infield drills are an important part of a practice each and everyday. Many of you may have witnessed coaches do the same thing each and every practice. They probably hit grounder after grounder to each kid and the rest of the players just stood and watched! Don't be that coach!
Use a variety of infield drills during your practices. Hit balls to your baseball players some days. Roll baseballs to them sometimes. Hit infield pop-ups to them. Work on ground ball technique some days. Work on double play drills too! There are TONS of things you can do to improve your team's infield play! Don't make the game boring and monotonous for your team. Mix it up!
Sometimes it is just using simple baseball vocabulary that helps youth players understand things more. Be sure to read about the One Word That Will Make You Sound Like a Baseball Expert. The word "Stay" is a simple word that kids understand when teaching baseball infield drills.
