Baseball Statistics! How Can I Use Them For My Youth Baseball Team?True baseball fans know all about baseball statistics! No other sport puts as much emphasis on statistics. If you are a baseball fan, you have probably heard about all the home runs that Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth hit. We have all watched different players try to hit .400 over the course of an entire Major League Baseball Season. You probably even have vivid memories during the remarkable year that Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa had back in 1998 and the year Barry Bonds had in 2001. We have vivid memories of those three players even though they are linked to steroid usage. Why? Because stats are a big part of the game and they intrigue fans! Youth baseball is no different than the major league's! We love stats! It gives players and coaches something to strive for. Don't get me wrong, I know the most important stat is the big W! We all want to WIN, but it is fun to keep track of personal and team stats along the way. I have compiled some information on different stats below.
