Winning Percentage! Do You Know How?

**(Number of Wins) divided by (Number of Decisions)**

Winning percentage is a very common statistic and very easy to compute. This stat is primarily used to see the percentage of games that a pitcher wins.

It is important to note that it only includes games that the pitcher is involved in the decision (not appearances).

Below is an example:

Nolan has 19 decisions during the season. He wins 16 of those games.

To computer you would take: 16 divided by 19 = .842

His .842 percentage means that Nolan wins 84.2% of his games where he is involved in the decision.
